Cruise the Waitemata Harbour aboard our heritage vessel the Ted Ashby. Then, explore the museum where you can try your hand at yacht design, relax in the bach, hear the cannon fire and batten down the hatches in the rocking cabin. The Ted Ashby is a ketch-rigged deck scow, typical of the fleet of scows that once operated in northern New Zealand waters. One hour cruises are available as follows: •11:30am and 1:30pm - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday •12:00 noon and 2:00pm - Saturday and Sunday Please note that as we are currently undergoing long term maintenance on the masts of the vessel, we are unable to raise the sails. Instead, we keep the motors running the whole time to power the vessel. •Family Pass is either 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. * Children 4 years and under have free entry to the museum and cruise. The Museum is open everyday except Christmas Day, from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Final public admissions are at 4.00pm each day. We recommend allowing at least 2 hours to complete your museum visit – cruise times additional.
