Did we mention we are also the smallest operator?
Our boat takes a maximum of 12 guests at a time making it a very intimate experience.
The boat is an exciting, fun, comfotable 12.5 meter Rayglass Protector RHIB (rigid-hulled inflatable boat) with a cabin for weather protection.
Rayglass Protectors have an amazing worldwide reputation as incredibly safe seaworthy boats.
In fact you have probably seen them as the go to boat for the chase/support boats in The America’s Cup Yacht Racing.
Our boat was originally built for and served as an America’s Cup Chase boat. It then went into service for COASTGAURD NZ our Marine Rescue Service, and it has saved lives
Being a RHIB with rubber pontoons means you are very close to the dolphins on the boat even before you enter the water. It’s a thrilling way to watch them swimming along with the boat.
Advanced bookings are essential
Our boat takes a maximum of 12 guests at one time.
We only operate 1 Dolphin Swim & 1 Harbour Adventure Cruise per day so advanced bookings are strongly advised to avoid disappointment.
We operate Dolphin Swimming & Harbour Adventure Tours throughout the summer months from the 1st of October to the 30th of April.

What should I bring?
Just watching, bring a water bottle, warm hat, warm clothing and a jacket.
Swimming you must have your own swimsuit, bikini, swimming shorts etc and towel.
Warm hat and jacket.
Come wearing your swimsuit under your clothing as this speeds up our departure giving us more time on the water, also you will be changing into your wetsuit with other people of the same sex.
Being a small company means we have small footprint therefore more environmentally friendly. It does mean however we don't have a shower onsite but one can be provided nearby.
If you have medication that should be with you at all times you must bring it on the boat with you. Some examples are asthma inhalers, epi pen, pills etc.
Bring a water bottle. Put on sunscreen before you arrive and bring it on the boat if you want to.
Optional things: Sunglasses, sun hat or warm hat and definitely do not forget your camera with a full battery.
What do you supply?
We will give you a thick 5mm full body wetsuit, dive booties, mask and snorkel. After the swim there will be hot chocolate and biscuits to have on the boat or back at the wharf if conditions aren't suitable on the water.
Thank you in advance your skipper Steve Hamilton.
Steve is a very friendly guy and very professional at what he does. He really cared to make sure we had a good experience.
When we realised that we were in the correct place ie Daly's Wharf and the boat arrived we were relieved. The last tour unloaded with lots of people but we were only three for the second trip. Actually this was a bonus as this was an open boat with small enclosed cabin for bags etc and this gave us more room on the open area with some areas to perch! Binoculars were lent to us and we were off. The tour was excellent the captain being local and extremely knowledgeable. I loved the scenery the cliff formations, caves and the opportunity to see seals which we did. The dolphins were hiding today though and we just missed a little penguin which was too quick for us. The return journey was faster and we saw and were told about the salmon fish farm ie Akaroa Salmon Hatchery Wild Breeding Program.
Great, friendly service from knowledgeable, competent staff.
Great guys, beautiful harbour, wonderful and magical experience. 5 stars.
If a cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival day, loss of 100% of the total booking price.
