CanNZ is my boutique guiding service aimed at the Japanese or English Speaking Independent Traveller who wishes to enjoy the outdoor life of the South Island of New Zealand.
I am based here in Christchurch (The Garden City) from where you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. My special area of interest is in day and half day tours incorporating guests interests and our glorious scenery.. golfing, gardening tours, cooking and hiking. I provide a personalized guiding service in my 7 seater 2012 Toyota Hi Ace.
Brief Outline :-
I am a 62 years old Japanese Speaking Tour Guide based here in Christchurch with over 21 years experience.
I have lived in Japan for 5 years, upon returning to Christchurch where I have lived for 30 years I have worked as a guide contracted to the main Japanese Companies conducting day tours in and out of Christchurch.I set up Can NZ Tours so that I can give clients a more relaxed and unique experience in the South Island.
My interests include a wide range of sports including golf, skiing, tennis hiking and camping, organic gardening and cooking, and cycling .
Services Provided :-
Many of our attractions are very weather dependent and consequently a significant proportion of tourists go to Mt Cook on days when there is little to be seen or Kaikoura on days when the sea is too rough.
I would encourage my clients to base themselves in Christchurch for a longer term stay rather than the current 2 nights and formulate their schedule according to the expected weather and their own condition.
I hope to enable the Japanese Clients to indulge their special interests whilst also enjoying the unique scenery and attractions of the South Island.
Most of our tourists who are on bus tours can only look and take photos in between naps on long journeys and I wish to enable them to do more than just look.
Unique selling point :-
I have a good understanding and level of both written and spoken Japanese and wish to use my language ability to communicate directly with my clients.
I also offer my clients the opportunity to homestay in our typical New Zealand
home. Furthermore I should like to use my skills learned from 4 years in the Hotel Industry and 5 years as the owner operator of a Coffee Shop Bakery here in Christchurch to indulge my interest in both cookery and organic growing of vegetables.

I very much enjoyed this tour which showed me both the wonderful gardens and beautiful sites of Christchurch, as well as the heartbreaking devastation suffered by this great city in the earthquake. Wish we had been able to spend more time in Christchurch since it has such a lot going for it, including the spirit of the people.
We enjoyed watching stars, Natures, and so on. Mr Creig's pumpkin soup and lunch were good tastes. We satisfied his original tours that we could spent our time usefully.Thank you for taking care of us.
